A Home Divided, A Vision Reimagined

Located in a quiet neighborhood shaped by the tradition of multi-family ownership, this two-storey residence reflects a unique typology deeply rooted in local custom: one floor per family. While the plot is shared, the use of outdoor space has been informally divided over generations—an unspoken agreement that balances coexistence with privacy.

Our project focused on the first floor and an adjoining side structure, both belonging to the current owner. The latter, a modest annex long past its prime, required a complete reconstruction. This intervention was not simply a matter of repair, but an opportunity to rethink spatial functionality while honoring the integrity of the original home.
